JAG DKP System

Overview

DKP is awarded on a point basis. Generally, only 25-man content from SSC/TK onwards will award DKP if you attend a raid, down a boss, be on-time and/or perform exceptionally well in a raid. T5 (SSC/TK) and T6 (MH/BT) items belong to different DKP groups, i.e. you can not use T5 DKP to get T6 items and vice versa. Also, minimum attendance required to attain loot from T5 and T6 content are pegged at 40% in the last 30 days for that tier.

Gruul's/Mag's Lair

We have a few raiders that require gear from Gruul's/Mag's Lair, so DKP will also be awarded to players that help out. Players that obtain loot will not be awarded the 1 DKP for helping out (you benefited from the run!), the attendance DKP will be deducted as item cost. If more than 1 player wants the same piece of loot, a /roll will be done. The item will be looted according to loot priority. If more than 1 piece of loot is awarded to the same player, there will be no extra penalty, i.e. maximum expenditure at Gruul's Lair per run is 1 DKP. Please bear in mind that we fully expect our raiders not to be lootwhores and roll on everything in sight. If there are others that may benefit from the loot, and you have already acquired 1 piece, play nice and pass it on.

Current DKP system

- 1 DKP per hour
- 1 DKP per boss down (except Gruul's/Mag's Lair)
- 1 DKP for being on time
- 2 DKP for first kill

Raid Signups

Raids (25-man content and ZA) will be posted every Sunday night for the coming week. Please use the Raid Planner and sign up to indicate your availability. ALL Gladiators and Peons are to signup, even if you are not available for that raid. In the event that you are unavailable, kindly make a note to indicate so. If you signed up as being available initially, but later find that you are unable to make it for the raid, you can update your status on the Raid Planner by unchecking the availability option. If you will be away for an extended period of time (more than 1 week), you should make a post in the Guild Members Association to notify the RLs.

In the event that you do not sign up for the raid, yet show up to attend, you will not accrue the DKP for raid attendance.

The cut-off time to sign up for raids is 12 noon (+8 GMT) on the day of that raid. The onus is on the raider him/herself to check and verify that he/she has signed up for the raid before the cut-off time.

Only raiders who have been given the go ahead by their respective CCs should sign up for the raid. If you have yet to be cleared for a particular instance, check back with your CC once you get sizeable upgrades.

Awarding of bonus DKP

Do note that it is at the Raid Leader's discretion to award additional DKP to a raid which has done exceptionally well (e.g. fast clearing of trash mobs, all bosses 1-shotted). This is an incentive to spur raiders to perform at high standards consistently instead of wasting time wiping to get their gear warmed-up.

Milestone Achievement Bonus DKP will also be awarded for significant milestones made. This DKP will be awarded to the next level's DKP Group, i.e. when we down Vashj, a MAB DKP will be award to each person in the raid in their T6 DKP Group.

Penalties

It is up to the RL/ARLs' discretion to deduct points from a raider that is seen being intentionally disruptive to the raid and/or causing wipes on bosses on farm.

If you signed up as being available for a raid, yet failed to show up on that day itself, without informing anyone (CC/RL/ARL) that you are not able to make it, 2 DKP will be deducted from the T6 DKP pool (wef 17/03/2008).

If you did not even bother to sign up, available or otherwise, 1 DKP will be deducted from the T6 DKP pool (wef 17/03/2008).

We require all raiders (regardless of rank, race, or class) to use their consumables (flasks/elixirs, buff food, weapon buffs) for all current content (T6) bosses. This is to boost our chances for successful raids, and as such, if the final check from the Big Brother mod shows that you have not taken the consumables, you will not receive DKP for that boss, as well as forfeit the chance at receiving loot from that particular boss (wef 26/05/2008).

Items

DKP item costs are listed in the Item Values page. Do take a look and plan your loot route. Item values may be lowered when we progress into higher instances to match our rate of progression. An item that is not PVE-oriented (more PVP, e.g. with resilience) will probably have its item value lowered to 50% (rounded down to the nearest whole number).

T6 Gear and Gems

Requests for epic gem be made through your ARL/CC & monitored by the same ARL/CC. We will only allow gems to be socketed in the best piece for your drops, i.e. your T6 drops comes with complimentary gems (subject to availability). But subsequent regems, please procure your own gems.

Legendary Weapons - Glaives and Bow (Currently under review)

Warglaives are bidded by the set. You pay for set upfront (bid war with min price). Rogues with high continual attendance will have priority on the set. Subsequently, Warglaives will be open to FFA bidding if rogues already have them or do not meet the minimum attendance (80%).

Hunter's bow - no one can utilize this better than hunters (bid war with min price). However if the hunters don't show good attendance (80% attendance is the minimum), other classes are welcome to procure it.

Latecomers/Early leavers (wef 08/03/2008)

You, the raider, not your CC or RL, should /w whoever's doing DKP that day (be it Fated or Aislinna or whoever's doing DKP that raid) when you JOIN the raid (that means when the invite to the raid pops up, not when you get subbed in), or when you leave the raid (for whatever reasons, just state your reason).

Simply put, if you don't do it, you have no DKP. That's it. No /w = no DKP for latecomers and early leavers. We mean it. You won't even get the attendance stat. It's as if you didn't exist in that raid. No attendance, no DKP, nothing. Please ensure you KNOW this like you know your bed (assuming you love sleeping as much as I do, that was a bit random, yes, I know).

Stand-By DKP

Often members may be asked to sit out for raids due to rotation. Raid composition is very important for progression and sometimes having more of one class may make learning an encounter much easier. When asked to sit out even though you have signed up for the current raid, you will be awarded the same amount of points as raiders in the instance (NOTE: no boss down DKP). However, being on stand-by is NOT self-declared. Only the Raid Leader and/or Assistant Raid Leaders can ask a raider to be on stand-by. You DO NOT self-declare that you will be on stand-by. Such action implies you have no interest in raiding and will not be invited for subsequent raids.

Being on Stand-By

After sorting out who's on stand-by, raiders are allowed to go on their alts or to PUG some simple instances*. If you chose to log off WoW, be contactable for subbing at all times. Generally, MSN is the cheapest form of communication rather than a long distance phone call. If you are un-contactable when you are required to substitute a certain raider, stand-by DKP will be voided (unless valid reasons are given).

*If you choose to PUG an instance, please let your group know in advance that you are on standby for a 25-man raid, and will need to leave immediately when called upon to sub in.

Miscellaneous

- Some raiders might find themselves in the negative zone after taking one or two items. This is to ensure that there is no inflation of DKP. Established members will still get priority over loot. Currently, loot priority is as follows on ALL raids: main's mainset > alt's mainset > main's offset > alt's offset, followed by trial members. The only exception is when the main actually needs the offset due to being a reserve for boss fights (e.g. if HolyPally1 is the reserve pally on murloc duty, and he needs some tanking gear, then by all means). Off-spec loot would be scaled to 50% of the original DKP value, to be rounded down to the nearest (lower) integer.

- All raw epic gems looted/mined from 25-man content must be deposited in gbank or maybe handed over to RL/ARL/CC to be gbanked.

- All [Mark of the Illidari]s and [Heart of Darkness]s are to be deposited into gbank or handed over to RL/ARL/CC to be gbanked (just in case it was accidentally rolled).

- All greens and blue drops from 25-man content are to be DE-ed and deposited into gbank or handed over to RL/ARL/CC to be DE-ed and gbanked (just in case it was accidentally rolled).

- Sometimes it is inevitable that a raider has to raid with his/her alt so that the raid can carry on (e.g. Joloc using Jolynn to heal for FLK such that the raid can continue). However, the said member who's using his/her alt is sacrificing a lot because potential gear that he/she needs could be forsaken since he/she's on the wrong character. Hence, in order to cater to the nice people who are willing to sacrifice for the guild, everytime someone is asked to play their alt to ensure raid progression, they will accrue 1 extra DKP per raid hour (using the same example, say, another priest logs on and takes over the healing role, Jo gets to go back on his lock and stops earning the extra point). NOTE: You DO NOT choose or claim to play your alt for the 25-man raid, it must be a RL/ARL request.

- Trial Members are not allowed to loot for their first 2-weeks. Loot will only be awarded when absolutely no one wants the item. If the Trial Member shows a horrible performance through his/her 2-week run with us, loot WILL be sharded in front of his/her eyes. No point awarding crap with free epics.

This list will be updated as more problems/solutions appear.
