MISSION STATEMENT
JAG is a guild comprised of players who are both serious raiders and leisure players. We aim to rapidly clear the available content and hope to complete it before the launch of the next expansion.

APPLICATIONS
Recruitment and evaluation of existing players is calibrated to maintain the minimum number of players necessary to achieve these goals. Applicants will be asked to undergo a probation period of two weeks to determine their suitability for inclusion in the raiding group. During this time, Trial Members’ alts will not be invited to the guild.

Players that fail the probation will NOT be asked to leave the guild, they may stay for the community but will not be considered for 25 man raids.

More information regarding the application process can be found here.

If you are interested in joining us, please apply here.

GUILD STRUCTURE
Leadership
We are organized with an Emperor (Kramp) as the figurehead of the guild and who vests power in a group of AGM/ARL who form a council to make decisions as a group.

Ranks
Emperor – To make it look as if he's making the decisions for the guild/raids when it’s actually the people's effort.
AGM/ARL – Assist the Emperor in the running of the guild/raids.
Administrator – Assist the Emperor in the administration of guild (Guild bank, site, forums, recruitment).
Gladiator – Established, raiding members of JAG.
Senator – White haired old men/woman who know a lot but actually are no different from everyone else. Slogging for the guild no doubt.
Alt – Enough said.
Homemaker – Friends of the guild, not actively raiding.
Peon – Trial Members!
Non-chartered – Those that have not signed the Guild Charter.
Quarantined – Characters that have been hacked, or behaved irresponsibly in some way. They do not have access to the guild bank.

GUILD GUIDELINES
Within the guild:
- All members are expected not to flame each other on guild chat. It is expected that all members of the Guild treat each other with respect. Seriously, if there's something you don't like, you can always talk to the GM, AGM/ARL, CCs, Admin Team, or simply post it in the guild forums (in the But Seriously… section).
- Cooperation is something we pride ourselves on. We wish this tradition to continue. Hence, all members CAN request for help to a certain extent. Do not over tax the higher level members with a "VC x10" requests just because you want a certain piece of gear from VC. We are not a twink guild.
- Similarly, don't beg for gold. If a member is willing to share or give something to you, it's out of his own kindness, and is not a requirement.
- Also, since we're not a twink guild, any excessive begging of any kind will lead to a gkick. We're serious about this.
- Do not go around repeating what's said in our various guild communication channels. What's said there can be sensitive and should remain within the guild.
- Continuous use of so-called ‘leet-speak’ or foreign languages is not encouraged, try to use (standard) English in the guild channel. Bad language is tolerated, but if taken to excess or if members complain about it, the offender will be asked to moderate their language. Continued excessive swearing can ultimately lead to disciplinary action. Also bear in mind that our members come from different backgrounds and all ages, races and sexes.

Within raids: Our approach to raiding is simple but effective.
- Guild members, with exception of Homemakers, are not allowed to raid with other guilds/PuG from MH/BT onwards, unless permission has been sought and granted by the AGM/ARLs and GM.
- Every member will be playing to the limits of their strength in their own class by investing time in research as well as augmenting their class abilities with consumables to meet the demand of the raid instances.
- All loot that is obtained will be handled by the DKP system which has been determined by the guild to be a fair judge for awarding of loot. Hence most loot decisions will be based on the DKP system (i.e. familiarise yourself with it!). Extraordinary circumstances (like urgently gearing up a MT) may occur and it will be explained to members beforehand.
- The dynamics of the raid team changes with each and every encounter. For this very reason the guild does not maintain a group that consists exactly of the required raiders.
- Please follow the raid etiquette as spelt out here.

With people outside the guild:
- Don't ninja (in PUGs, or on nodes).
- Don't flame another guild. If you want, whine in guild chat.
- Don't do anything against the TOS.
- No trash talking of any sort in General, Trade or BGchat. We are not here to make ourselves infamous. If it's none of your business, don't stick your head inside.
- As far as possible, try to be polite and courteous in your communications with all non-JAGuars.

SANCTIONS
The GM and AGM/ARLs have the right to use their judgment regarding issues not yet covered in the Guild Charter, after which a policy change should be proposed and made clear to the rest of the guild members.

UNFORESEEN AMENDMENTS
We recognise that emotions run high and fast at times, however, we endeavour to act in a well thought out manner at all times. In the event that there is an unprecedented situation that requires a policy change, a buffer of one week's time will be given before implementing changes, or reacting to situations. We give all established members (Homemaker rank and above) one week to let their feelings be known before the motion is declined or accepted. This idea is to be carried out as much as possible within all aspects of the guild.

This one-week buffer directly affects the general membership as well. If you bring an issue to a CC/Admin Team/AGM/GM, you must expect at least one week for him/her to process and deal with whatever issue is at hand. Good solutions requires good thinking, and that takes time. It is hoped that all members will also apply this rule to themselves wherever possible. When considering changes to their character, their allegiances, or any other decision that changes their path, one week's thinking time would be very well spent.
